Sulfates are added to various products, such as soap, shampoos and conditioners, clothes detergents and toothpaste to create lather. We think that lather is a good thing, it makes us feel like we are really getting clean.

Most manufactuers are not concerned with the effects that these ingredients have on their customers. They only want to create a product for the least amount of money, put it in a pretty bottle with a fancy name and sell it to the consumer at an overly inflated price.
