The first ingredient is Aloe Vera Barbadensis enriched with Evening Primrose Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vitamins A, C & E and Natural Botanical Extracts to help maintain a natural moisture balance.

Determining Your Skin Type

The simplest way to determine your skin type is to wash your face with just water. Wait one hour then press one ply of a facial tissue against your whole face.

When you pull away the tissue, look at it.

If you see your complete face on the tissue you probably have oily skin. Order the Deep Pore sample set.

If you just see your forehead, nose and chin on the tissue, this means you probably have combination skin. Order the Combination sample set.

If there is very little oil on the tissue you probably have normal skin. Order the Gentle sample set.

If you see no oil at all you probably have dry skin. Order the Gentle sample set or the Gentle set with Intense Moisture Cream if you have extremely dry skin.

Winter Skin Care

School has started, the leaves are turning beautiful colors and the air has that cool crisp feeling to it.
We all know what this means – dry skin and chapped lips.

The cooler months do not have to be harsh on your skin; in fact it is the best time to start a nourishing skin care routine.

The skin is actually eager to receive moisture due to the dry conditions. During the warmer, humid months when the skin is busy detoxifying making it less absorbent.

Take advantage of the cold weather to make your skin healthier, more youthful and vibrant looking.

How?

- Continue to use Sun Protection – Use a sunscreen on your face and hands that protects you from both UVA and UVB rays. Snow and windows intensify the rays of the sun. Try to apply 20-30 minutes before sun exposure.

- Avoid hot showers/baths – Hot water may feel great after time in the cold, but water that is too hot strips the skin of lipids. Lipids are part of the skin’s barrier that help hold in moisture.

- Avoid soap or cleansers with detergents – the detergents in these products strip the skin and disrupt the pH balance of the skin leaving it feeling tight and dry.

- Use a humidifier – place a small humidifier in as many rooms of the house as possible, especially the bedroom, to replace the moisture being pulled out of the air. Remember to clean the humidifier on a regular basis to prevent bacteria and fungi from being added to the air along with the moisture.

- Exfoliate – use a gentle exfoliating product to remove dry, dull skin. This will leave your skin soft and smooth.

- Moisturize – use a good quality moisturizer that penetrates the skin to hydrate the skin.  Also you may need to switch moisturizers during the winter months to provide more moisture for your skin.

Water is what keeps your skin hydrated! Dehydration is the main cause of wrinkles in the skin.

L’Bri refuses to add water to dilute our products. This results in products that are very concentrated making them more effective. Most of our products will last you for months, because a small amount goes a long way!
